New York City, October 25, 2007 Pat Loret de Mola, founder and CEO of
Trade Settlement Inc. (TSI), was the recipient of Springboard Enterprises' prestigious Winner Circle's Northstar Awards
at a dinner reception this week in New York City. Ms. Loret de Mola founded TSI, a leading provider of electronic
settlement services in the global primary and secondary syndicated loan markets, in 2001. Today, this business serves
550 financial institutions globally in a $3-trillion market.
Ms. Loret de Mola founded TSI after a more
than 20 year career as a banker in the global loan market. In 2000, she raised capital for the launch of TSI from
Paddington Venture Capital. The following year, the platform launched to help settle secondary par and near-par loans.
Over the years, TSI expanded into settling primary syndicated bank loans. Now, it is a leader in electronically settling
trades in both the secondary and primary syndicated loan market. Earlier this year, the firm opened an office in Dublin
to serve Europe and is moving aggressively to serve market participants in the UK and Europe.
Pat is a
visionary among her peers on Wall Street, said Kay Koplovitz, Chairperson and Co-Founder of Springboard Enterprises in
announcing the award. She recognized the changes that would be necessary for the industry to meet the demands of the
digital age and created the TSI platform to help make that transition. Pat's patience, determination and support of her
investors have enabled her and her firm to capture a significant share of a $3-trillion international market. Pat's work
represents a perfect formula for success.
In accepting the award, Ms. Loret de Mola noted, I am extremely
pleased to be a recipient of the Winner's Circle Northstar Award. Since showcasing in Springboard's New England Venture
Capital Forum in November 2001, I have been involved in various Springboard Enterprise activities and believe this has
been a crucial component of my success and that of TSI. Springboard plays a vital role helping women entrepreneurs
prepare and connect with venture capital, which is so critical to the future success of new businesses. I look forward
to continuing to work with the organization in years to come.
The Winner's Circle Award is presented to
individuals and organizations that have had a definable impact through their actions and investment in entrepreneurship,
according to Springboard Enterprises. Ms. Loret de Mola has been a member of Springboard since 2001 and has presented
at several of its venture capital forums.
Springboard Enterprises is a national, non-profit organization
