The Business

Established in June 2000, Trade Settlement Inc.TM [TSI] has become the industry leader in automated loan closings. TSI has developed an integrated, post-trade loan settlement platform serving the $3.0 trillion Primary and Secondary syndicated loan markets. We support all of the major Agent banks and well over 200 buy-side firms. The TSI system brings efficiency, speed, seamless data integration, greater control and security to the loan closing process.

The Loan Market

The Loan Market is large and inefficient. The new issue global loan market approached $3.0 trillion and has grown at a rapid rate. The Loan Syndication Trading Association "LSTA" estimated the U.S. secondary par/near par loan trading market at $176 billion, representing 65% of the global market.

One of the greatest impediments of liquidity and growth of the secondary loan trading market is the exceedingly cumbersome trade closing process. It is manual, decentralized, telephone and fax dependent and accordingly slow and costly. Although the industry promotes a T + 7 standard settlement period, it frequently stretches to T + 10 or more. Longer term issues include weak data management and reporting tools, thin operating capacity and non-compliance with BIS Standard Trade Settlement recommendations.

The Trade Settlement Inc.TM Solution

TSI’s Primary and Secondary On-Line Loan Closing systems are internet based platforms that provide an automated and secure process for all parties to the loan settlement market. We replace the current slow and inefficient manual process for loan closings with a centralized easy-to-use platform. We offer the highest standard of security, leading edge technology, first rate customer service and the fastest execution. We have built our state of the art platform with the flexibility to integrate to virtually every lending system, whether branded or proprietary.
